February Newsletter

February is Finally Here!

Dear Families,

Happy February! This month is packed with happenings at Saint George School. But first, let's take a look back at January. Catholic Schools Week was fantastic this year in bringing together our school community. Students learned and enjoyed the events planned by our teachers. In case you missed it, check out some pictures below!

Back to February! Early Bird Registration ends TODAY, so make sure you capitalize and save $25! In case you miss the Early Bird Special, re-registration ends February 22nd. AND, be sure to apply for FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE via FACTS! Know that we are only a phone call or email away from walking you through the process!

We thank you in advance for trusting us with your most precious gifts for another school year and we promise to continue improving our selves so that your children receive the GREATest education possible within our little yet strong school.

In February, Home and School is also hosting the annual Sweetheart Dance on Friday, February 8, 2019 and Home and School chances are due on February 22, 2019. Best of luck in the chance drawing!

Our third grade students will also be making the sacrament of Reconciliation later this month. Please keep our students in your prayers as they prepare for their First Penance. Students are often nervous during this sacrament, so be sure to offer words of encouragement as they continue their journey in the Catholic faith.

And finally, we want to thank you for your continued support as we move forward as an Independent Catholic School! Our strong community is making this venture possible for our students and we know that we have a bright future ahead of us with our GREAT students! You can do your part by registering and spreading the exciting news of Saint George Independent Catholic School!

Faculty Spotlight

Mr. Davidson, Fifth Grade

Mr. Davidson returned to Saint George School this year, continuing to educate our fifth and sixth graders in Math, Science, and Social Studies. Now in his third year with us, Mr. Davidson's students know that when they enter his classroom, the work begins immediately! Mr. Davidson often incorporates video clips into his lessons, which students clearly enjoy as we can hear them discussing what they just watched and learned about in Mr. Davidson's class. Whether it's the planets, ancient cultures, or solving equations, fifth and sixth graders have it covered!

Mrs. Eisler, Sixth Grade

Welcome, Mrs. Eisler! Mrs. Eisler joined our team this year, teaching ELA and Religion classes to our fifth and sixth graders. That's in addition to the creative arts and crafts projects Mrs. Eisler and her students complete, inspiring our students to think outside of the box. Students are always busy thinking and creating, so be sure to ask a fifth or sixth grade student what they learned or created today!
