DI Time: Enrichment and Intervention at it's best...

As we shared as a part of retreat, we plan to begin the implementation of our DI time the beginning of October. We are meeting with our campus interventionists next week to determine how we will utilize our assessment data to group and serve our students. We will be working to identify the concepts/skills that we will specifically address in 3-week chunks and how we will serve our students based on their needs. We will focus on our Getting Started plan at our upcoming Faculty Learning the end of September.

Response to Intervention Meetings and Calendar

Ashley has completed and provided the RtI schedule for this school year. A copy has been placed in your boxes but you may click here to access it in case you need to reference it. Clarity about the link between these meetings and our DI time along with how we will document student progress will be discussed as a part of our first round of RtI meetings.

Building Relationships

We are meeting with our Fine Arts team this week and have began to look through all of the volunteer forms that our parents have submitted. We are planning to form a small committee for our Spirit Store and Box Tops to being the process of making both of these projects a campus priority. We will share more very soon about our next steps!

Please remember to begin your positive parent contacts this week if you haven't already. Our parents want to hear from us and we need to set the stage for future communication!

CHAMPS - Week 2

This week we have seen many students exhibiting evidence of the groundwork you have done related to our CHAMPS expectations. Please continue to hold students to the high standards we have and use the visual cues that are around the building as reminders of what we expect. Ashley and I are working to be intentional about praising behaviors we see both in and out of the classroom and reminding students who have forgotten.

If a student's behavior escalates to the point of you needing an administrator to be involved, please contact the office and allow us to come to you or to our designated behavior area with Sabrina and Dee. For privacy reasons and the number of parents we have in and out of the office, it is best that we do not immediately bring a student that is having behavior concerns to the office area.

Take a minute to listen to Emmett's full proof plan on how to have a great day!
