In The News...

BIG thanks to Mrs. Dixon, Mrs. Cassone, Mrs. Sauers, & Mrs. Price for planning such an awesome and fun Holiday party and to all of you that sent in items; you all made it such a memorable event for the kids. The day could not have been any better. The kids had so much fun at each station; learning about the different countries and cultures and spending time with family and friends. It was great to see many of you there.

We have a short week next week with only 3 days in! We will be taking our Spelling Test on Monday. I will be wrapping up Mid-Year assessments on Monday as well. I am very proud of the kids; many have made really good growth since the start of the year. Their assessment data will go home with their report card on Wednesday.

Don't forget that on Tuesday we are having an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest... should be lots of fun! Please do not feel like you have to go buy a sweater. Your child can wear Christmas colors Tuesday instead and that will be just fine =)

Wednesday will be a very special day in our classroom as we take part in my yearly tradition of wearing PJs, sitting in front of a "virtual" fireplace, and reading Twas the Night Before Christmas. Presents get delivered on this day so hopefully everyone will be here!

I hope you all enjoy your weekend and stay warm. It's cold out today (but a warm up is in sight for Sunday with degrees in the 70s... crazy weather).

Take Care,

Ms. Gower

  • With the short week and wrapping up assessments, Parent Volunteers are not needed. We appreciate all your help each week. Enjoy this week off to get ready for the holidays!

  • There will be no homework next week =)

  • Social Studies Projects can go home any day next week. If you'd like to pick your child's up, you can do so anytime in the morning before school or after. I will be sending all home on Wednesday (project grades will be in the report card envelope).

  • If you're looking for a good gift idea for me, I would love to receive things for our classroom that the kids can use. See the links below for ideas that would benefit them.
