Changes happening at North...
After 25 years of valued service to the North Oakview community, Kaye Davis has announced that she will be retiring at the end of this school year. Kaye has served many roles during her time at North Oakview; classroom paraprofessional, office paraprofessional, Building Administrative Assistant, parent, grandparent, colleague and friend. Kaye is a servant driven individual that loves working students, staff, and parents. She wears many hats at North Oakview and she will be dearly missed. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors, and hope that she will find time to stop by and visit.
Please Welcome our New Building Administrative Assistant....
Kim Nagy our amazing music teacher, is retiring after this year. She has been teaching for 41 years and has been part of our Northview family for 24 years. She loves playing the piano and teaching others to play the piano as well. She is going to miss Northview students but is ready to just play her piano. Happy Retirement Mrs. Nagy!!!

This program is open to all families residing within one of the twenty (20) Kent ISD school districts. Students are eligible for the Kent ISD Choice Plan, regardless of grade level, ethnic background or student ability. The only limits on movement between school districts are the number of spaces available in each district or the student's suspension or expulsion record.
The Schools of Choice application period will open April 10 and run through May 12, 2023. Watch our social media for reminders and check our website for details at nvps.net/ schools-of-choice. If you have questions, contact Central Enrollment at enroll@nvps.net.
NEWS from the NURSE!
Parents/Guardians,
Northview School District is dedicated to your student’s well-being.
If you received a referral letter from the Kent County Health Department asking you to follow up on your student’s vision or hearing, please do so. Kent County Health Department does an initial screening to capture any students that may not have optimal vision or hearing. Optimal hearing and vision are necessary for your student to learn. Please follow up with your primary health care provider or specialist to ensure your student’s hearing or vision are optimal for learning.

Snack Cupboard
Our snack cupboard at school is getting low on snacks! The snack cupboard is available for students who may have forgotten to bring a snack to school. We would love donations of individual bags of Goldfish, Goldfish pretzels, regular pretzels or Cheez-its which are a favorite of our students! All snacks can be dropped off to the office or sent in with your student. Or you can shop directly from Amazon via our wish list click on the amazon picture.
Summer Camps and Enrichment Classes
Click the buttons below to get your students signed up for upcoming summer enrichment classes and summer sports camps that are happening.
Spring Mileage Club
Please sign up to volunteer to help during Mileage Club! We need volunteers to help direct kids around the course as well as punch cards. Mileage club may be canceled for rainy/snowy weather. If this happens, an email will be sent out. Please make sure you have a volunteer consent form filled out for the school year with the district. Check in at the front office and then head out to the field to volunteer. Lower El will use the course next to the DK-2nd grade playground and 3rd-4th grade will use the course next to the 3rd/4th grade playground.
