MESSAGE FROM MR. HARTLINE
HASD Emergency Remote Learning Plan
In the very near future your children will be bringing home an Emergency Remote Learning Plan folder. The folder will contain instructional materials for your children.
Please note the elementary schools are attempting to be proactive during these uncertain times. In the event of an unforeseen school closure, the instructional work in this folder is to be used as emergency remote instruction.
Please keep this at home in a safe location until directed to use.
Families will be notified of further directions of what is expected or the work that needs to be completed, as this may vary depending on the length of the school closure.
Reminder:
This newsletter is where you will be able to get updates on what is happening in school, as well as access many items throughout the school year. Please take the time to see what is included with each newsletter as it comes out. The newsletter will be emailed to you via school messenger when we have new information to share.
Sincerely,
Mr. Jaime Hartline
Principal, Foot of Ten Elementary
HARVEST FEST
Classroom teachers will have a party/celebration in their classrooms on October 28th and 29th to accommodate both hybrid groups. Families may send in a snack for their student only but not for the class. While we appreciate families wanting to send in snacks for all of the students, we want to avoid any possible cross-contamination.
Since students will not be allowed to wear costumes at school due to health and safety concerns, students are encouraged to wear some elementary school appropriate Halloween/Harvest Fest attire (t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc.) that day. It can be as simple as wearing something orange. Harvest Fest days will be as follows:
Group A = Wednesday, October 28th
Group B = Thursday, October 29th
Foot of Ten will also be doing a virtual Harvest Party Costume Parade. Please use the links below if you wish to participate.

4th Grade Guest Teacher
The 4th Grade Students in Mr. Wessner's class had a surprise visit from Mr. Benjamin Franklin. Mr. Franklin did a great job as a substitute teacher for Mr. Wessner. The students enjoyed helping Mr. Franklin learn about the technology in the room.

FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS
Beginning on Thursday, September 10, 2020 through December 31, 2020 all school meals (breakfast and lunch) will be FREE for all students.
It is still important to those who may qualify for free/reduced priced meals, to apply or update their meal application for the 2020-21 school year because the district-wide free meals is a temporary benefit.
