Welcome to the Prairie Point Panther Press!
Principal's Letter
Dear Prairie Point Families:
I enjoyed seeing so many families in attendance during our Father and Son Game Night last weekend. It is great to take advantage of this beautiful weather and celebrate as a community. We are looking forward to our Panther Fitness Challenge next Friday. This event is the largest fundraiser for Prairie Point Elementary School. All of the money that is raised during the Panther Fitness Challenge goes directly back to our classrooms. Our Home and School uses this money to provide teacher grants and other student supplies, activities and resources. We are very grateful for the generosity and support of our school community. It is not too late to support our PFC. We will continue to collect envelopes and donations throughout next week. Thank you for supporting our major fundraiser!
I would like to share some updates from our health service department this week. Nurse Dominique is currently out on leave. We will have a substitute nurse at Prairie Point, however, this may vary day to day. In order to ensure that all health related questions and emails are received, please send them directly to me at jgroves@sd308.org. I will forward your email to the nurse who is subbing on that day so that the nurse can follow up with you.
As we are now over a full month into the 2021-22 school year, some of our students have gone through the extra masks that were packed in backpacks at the start of the year. While we do have some masks available at school, please pack extra masks in your child’s backpacks in the event that their mask gets dirty or breaks during the school day.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jennifer Groves
Principal
