Fall Sports Update
The 7th grade boys basketball team defeated New Pal Junior High by a score of 39-24. They also defeated Perry Meridian by a score of 47-35. Their overall record for the year is 7-3
The 8th grade boys basketball team lost to New Pal by a score of 43-37. They also defeated Perry Meridian 52-24. Their overall record for the year is 7-2.
The 8th grade boys basketball team will play in the Guion Creek Tournament this weekend. Both teams will be on the road next Monday against Franklin Township East and then at home on Wednesday against Westlane.
Wrestling practice had their 2nd week of practice this past week. They will continue to practice Monday through Thursdays until 5 pm before winter break. After winter break, practices will be everyday after school until 5 pm. If you are planning on participating in wrestling, you must start practicing at some point before winter break. Please email Coach Andy St. Laurent (dstlaur2@warren.k12.in.us) if you have any questions.
7th and 8th grade girls basketball tryouts took place this past week. The list of girls who made the team were posted on Friday morning. Practices will be everyday after school until 5 pm.
There will be a callout meeting for anyone interesting in swimming on December 18 at Warren Central High School. Please click the swimming link below for all information about swimming.
Track pre-season conditioning will be on Tuesdays every week. It will be after school until 4:30 pm. Athletes staying for conditioning will be expected to ride the activity bus home on those nights. You must have a physical on file with Mr. Treesh if you are planning to stay for conditioning. Questions may be directed to Mr. Treesh, Athletic Director, or Mr. Peckham, track coach.

How important is attendance for student success?
We do understand that there are situations that arise where an absence can't be prevented. Please help communicate those reasons to the school by calling the main line at 532-6800 between 6:00-7:00 a.m. to report the absence.
Excused Absences Include:
1. Personal illness or injury (please drop off physician's notes to front desk)
2. Death in the immediate family
3. Attendance at a family funeral
4. Religious observances required by church officials
5. Serving as a page in the legislature
6. Court appearance/court detention
7. Working at polls
