The capital of Cuba is Havana. One of the meals that is enjoyed most in Cuba is rice and beans if they are cooked together the dish is called either "Congri" or "Moros" or "Moros y Cristianos." The sport that Cuba is known for and is dominant in is Boxing. Cuban's also enjoy to play baseball these are 2 sports that is popular in Cuba.

Antonio Maceo
A hero of the Cuban struggle for independence from Spain, Antonio Maceo Gracales, "The Bronze Titan," was wounded 25 times in the fighting before finally being killed in 1896. The equestrian monument to him in the Plaza de la Revolucion juts from a hilltop out a solid block of stone, beckoning his countrymen to follow.

Russian Orthodox Church
One of the newest built churches is the Russian Orthodox Church in Old Havana at San Pedro street opposite the Sierra Maestra Terminal. The Russian 'Our Lady of Kazan' church, was inaugurated in 2008 by the Cuban president Raul Castro in the presence of the Russian president Medvedev.

El Yunque is a 575 m (1,886 ft) high mountain located 7 km (4.3 mi) west of Baracoa and the Baracoa Bay in Cuba's Guantanamo Province. It has a table mountain shape that resembles an anvil ("yunque" in Spanish).

At the end of 19th Century, the Bacardi rum was very famous in Cuba and abroad. Its creator, Don Emilio Bacardi, was a Spaniard settled in the island. It is said that he had a bat as a talisman which was used as logo in the first distillery that made him to win fortune. It is known that Bacardi held the title of "Supplier of the Casa Real Española".

Walking through the door you enter perhaps the oldest boxing club in Havana, an open air arena nestled in the center of a courtyard with seating on two sides, nestled in-between a couple of three level apartment buildings with windows open to the training area. Like just about everything in Cuba, the training equipment is well worn with the exception of a brand new heavy (70-80lb) punching bag. Despite its well worn and neglected appearance, it is one of the more famous boxing arenas with a number of Olympic champions having trained here.
