Class List Meetings
Thanks for scheduling class list meetings. We have appreciated teachers being prepared as meetings thus far have been efficient!
Personal Days
The last day for any personal days will be Thursday, May 23rd. Personal days are not allowed prior to or immediately after a 3 day weekend (Memorial Day and the last five days of the school year).
ALICE Training
- We appreciate so many district staff attending ALICE Training on Thursday, April 18th. Your participation and thought-provoking questions were an important part of this important student safety initiative!
- We will begin the process of reviewing and rewriting our Crisis Management Plan to include our ALICE procedures. After the initial meeting, we will reach out to staff members to become part of the Crisis Plan/Threat Assessment Team to help to rewrite our plan. Thank you in advance for your participation in this important task!
The spring testing window begins Monday, May 6th.
Field Day 2019
- Field Day will take place from 8:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31st (last attendance day for students). At this time, we have 13 stations for our CPS students to rotate through including games, inflatables, dancing, and more!
- A big thanks for the Field Day Committee, especially Robert, for helping work out the details. We are very excited for a fun day with students!
- Documents and details regarding Field Day will be coming in the next few weeks.
Teacher Appreciation
- We will be providing lunch for all staff in honor of Teacher Appreciation Day on Tuesday, May 7.
- PTO will provide lunch in the teacher's lounge on Wednesday, May 8th in recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week. The menu will feature pulled pork, pulled chicken, pasta salad, and some other goodies.

Hive Summit Honey Drop
Here is the message I received from Mr. Matera:
Ok guys, this is really cool.
I was thinking about ways we can create a buzz about learning and attending The Hive Summit when it is so many months away. That is when I came up with the idea for Hive Honey Drops.
Each drop will include a video from the past summit, additional PD videos to push us even more, and exclusive resources, content, and offers.
The only catch is that each Hive Honey Drops page will only work for a limited time.
How it works: Each email will have a Hive Honey Drop section where you will get a link to the drop. Follow the link and enter the secret password.
