APA style

When referencing social media content...

please remember that if you paraphrase or quote information from social media that is not accessible to everyone due to privacy settings or similar (e.g. a private Facebook conversation), then cite the information as a personal communication.

If your information comes from social media that is available for others to access (e.g. an openly accessible Youtube video), then follow the guidelines below.
