Community Resources
for gifted learners
Where can I find local resources related to gifted learners?
Local School Resources
- Orange County Gifted Services: https://www.ocps.net/cs/ese/programs/
gifted/Pages/default.aspx - Seminole County Gifted Services: http://www.scps.k12.fl.us/esss/ESEServices/ GiftedServices.aspx
To find information related to other counties in Florida, just type in the county's name and "gifted services" into the search bar on your device. The type of gifted services and model varies from county to county and school to school; however, each school in Florida uses the state of Florida's Gifted Frameworks for K-12 public education. These frameworks consist of 7 goals with various objectives within each goal. For each objective a trait is addressed with specific goals at 4 increasingly complex levels. To see a copy of this, access the link in the "Online Resources" section of this flyer.
Talk with your child's school about local resources offered in your area. There are several after school programs, camps, and other extra-curricular activities available for gifted students listed on this flyer. In addition to these, ask your child's teacher about any other programs you are interested in for your child.
