Ebooks in our library: Check it out! (October, 2015)
eBooks at Myron J. Francis School
Francis students and teachers have over 200 ebooks available to them for free! We have several RI Children's Book Award nominees from past and present years, picture books, chapter books, fiction, and nonfiction titles for all grade levels. Share with your classroom or curl up with a book on your tablet at home.
To access ebooks, go to our library catalog and click on Follett Shelf in the top navigation. From here you can browse the collection or search for specific titles. To open or check out a book, click on the login button in the upper right and log in using the username and password given to you by Ms. Jordan (I will pass these out at this week's staff meeting).
What is an ebook exactly?
An ebook is an electronic version of a printed book that can be read on a computer, tablet, or other digital devices. It has the same content as the print version. An ebook is not the same as an audiobook. Audiobooks are recordings of books usually in CD or MP3 format. Currently, we do not have audiobooks available for checking out via the system described above.
Don't forget about other kinds of ebooks!
In addition to our Follett Shelf ebooks, we have a subscription to Tumblebooks and Tumblebooks Cloud Jr. See our library website for links to log in.
Coming Next Month.....New books connected to our curriculum!
