All About Judaism

People of Judaism are called Jews and follow God. Some holidays Jews celebrate are, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah celebrates a new year and people eats apples dipped in honey. Rosh Hashanah also begins fasting. Yom Kippur ends the fasting from Rosh Hashanah and you celebrate. Jews worship at synagogues usually everyday. A common figure for the Jews is Abraham. .In Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, Abraham is the founder. The holy book is Tanakh or Torah they mean the same thing. Beliefs that Jews believe in are studying Torah (or Tanakh), following God's laws, including the 10 Commandments,and considering everyone equal. Some Jews only eat Kosher food, and can't eat pork or mixing of meat and meat products. A bar mitzvah is when a Jewish boy reaches the age of 13, and a bat mitzvah is when a girl reaches the age of 13. The Jewish god is God, the Christians god is God, and Islams god is Allah. A Rabbi is the teacher of Torah or the guide of Torah. A holy city is Jerusalem, the capital of Isreal.
