Project Overview:
Why do we solve problems? Not only to make life more convenient, but also to make it better, not just for ourselves, but also for others.
There are countless issues in the world today ranging from hunger and water shortages to the integration of technology in our infrastructure and daily lives. How you choose to address these issues will possibly make an impact on the world. What role do you play in our global society?
Teams ranging in size based on the needs of the product will work throughout the next 6 weeks to develop a Proof of concept. Proof of concept is evidence, typically derived from an experiment, which demonstrates that a design concept is feasible. Throughout this process, teams will need to:
- ➔ Utilize the scientific and engineering design process to create and exhibit a testable, duplicable, and turnkey product which addresses a sustainable development goal.
- ➔ Establish a Corporate Responsibility Plan showcasing how your product will be responsibly produced and focuses on humanitarian aid, global citizenship and sustainability.
- ➔ Partner with an NGO
- ➔ Contact and develop a working relationship with an industry expert in the field of your project.
- ➔ Develop and present a pitch to potential investors including unique branding and logo design for your product/organization.
The project will conclude with presentations before a panel of entrepreneurs, investors and business professionals in fields related to your product in order to gain support and funding for your project. Who knows, maybe your idea will become reality?
