Sign Ups Made Simple
With parent-teacher conferences on the horizon, consider using the brand new Google Appointment Schedule feature. It’s free, simple to set up, works in real-time, and makes scheduling a breeze! To get started, open your Google Calendar (using your FCPS credentials), click on Create and choose Appointment Schedule. Follow the prompts and share your new booking page with parents, volunteers, colleagues, or students as needed. Viewers will simply click on a time to schedule and even have the ability to cancel or reschedule on their own. Get rid of the paper sign up sheets, outdated emails and wasted time rearranging schedules. To learn more about creating appointment schedules and see it in action, register for our upcoming session on September 15 or use this handy dandy tutorial.

Arts in Education Week
To celebrate Arts in Education Week (September 11 - 17), we have a few edtech tools to promote creativity, art, music and dance. #BecauseOfArtsEd But these are not just for our teachers of the arts! Take a look:
- Google Arts & Culture: This website is jam packed with arts, history, culture, experiments and games - plus so much more. From museum tours to Blob Opera, this site is a must-see, -listen, and -do! Even make your own 3D pottery!
- Dance Card Code: Try this unplugged activity using music and dance with random card draws to determine the dance sequence - your students will be coding and dancing at the same time!
- Loopy Dance: Introduce your students to block coding and loops with this non-tech activity! Students can design their own dance moves with this student template.
- Adobe Creative Education Challenges: Have your students use their creativity and share about themselves with Adobe Education Exchange's 2-part Back to School Challenge templates. Everything you need is there, even a printable lesson plan.
