Principal's Message

Good Morning E.O. Green Parents/Guardians,

The GREEN Staff hopes you had a wonderful and safe weekend. Please ensure to check your child’s candy before they consume it. Also, remind your student that candy stays home; eating candy on campus is not allowed.

We need your support; please talk to your students about their cellular phones. All phones must be silenced or powered down during instruction and inside the backpack during the instructional day. We want our students to focus on learning and not be distracted by texting, taking photos, or accessing their social media accounts. You will be notified if your student doesn’t follow the expectation.

GREEN Jr. High is a uniform school. Therefore, please ensure your student continues to wear the appropriate attire required. You can find images of the uniform below and a full student-uniform policy description on our website. We want to avoid bothering you with phone calls about bringing a uniform clothing change for your student. Thank you!

Thank you for ensuring your students attend school on time and daily, earn passing grades, and have a positive attitude with good behavior. Your student needs to arrive on campus by 7:55 am to have time to walk to the classroom and be in their seat when the bell rings. Please be aware that tardiness affects privileges to participate in school events like dances, promotion celebrations, grand nights, field trips, etc. We appreciate your support in sending your student to school on time. Please provide home consequences, if your child has tardies.

Regarding Halloween Costumes: Halloween is Monday, October 31. Students are not allowed to wear Halloween costumes at school.

Message From The Health Office:

Reminder to Parents:

The health office is a busy place. We have seen an increase in students coming to the health office that appear to be using the COVID protocols as a way to get out of class. Please talk with your student about not coming to the health office unless they are genuinely not feeling well. Also, COVID is still present and we are following the current Ventura County Public Health guidelines so please have a plan for who can pick up your student in case your student is sent home sick. Any COVID symptoms still require a negative COVID test result for the student to return to school. We want students in class as much as possible while looking out for your students' health and safety. Thank you for your help.

COVID Symptom Reminder and Return to School Requirements

As a reminder, at no time is it acceptable to send students to school when they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, and especially if they have received a positive test result (laboratory based OR at-home test). Please make sure to report all positive cases to your students’ school.

Temperature Screening: Please screen your child at home each day for fever or symptoms and do not send your child to school if he/she is symptomatic or sick.

Students are to stay HOME if:

-If your student does not feel well, keep them home.

-If your student has any COVID-like symptoms, keep them home.

Home tests or antigen tests are now accepted

-Thank you for keeping our school community safe.
