Jump Rope for Heart Prizes - student prizes have arrived at LoES and will be distributed during students regular PE time during the week of May 14th.
School Year Extended to June 19th - The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) will extend the 2017-2018 school year by two days to make up for inclement weather closings. The last day of school for students will now be Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Read more here.
- Graduation Ceremonies - HCPSS will continue the tradition of streaming all high school commencement ceremonies live on the HCPSS website at www.hcpss.org. On-demand viewing also will be available following each ceremony. You can also order graduation DVDs online now, and only through June 15. This is a change from previous years when purchasing was available for several months after graduations. All graduation-related information, including DVD details and parking maps for each ceremony, can be found on the HCPSS site at http://www.hcpss.org/commencements/.

PARCC Assessment Dates
- Grade 4 - Mathematics - May 14th through May 17th - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
- Grade 3 - Mathematics - May 21st through May 24th - 9:00 am to 11:00 am
- Making Summer Vacation Plans? - All 4th grade students can get free access to National Parks throughout the US for a year. Includes everyone in the vehicle. Get more information here.
