Career Day! June 12, 2023
Artondale will be hosting its annual Career Day on Monday, June 12th! The purpose of Career Day is to expose students to a variety of careers in order to jumpstart their thinking about the future. All of our students will be participating in this fun and informative day! However, we can’t do it without you!
We need volunteers to speak for four 25 minute-long sessions about their career. Career Day activities will occur between 9am and 11am. If you, a family member, or friend is interested in volunteering to speak about a career, please complete this Google Form by Friday, June 2nd. Volunteer selection will be on a first-come basis. Bringing stress balls, pencils, or other work-related freebies for students is encouraged. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at eaglinc@psd401.net (Mrs. Eaglin). With your help, we look forward to having another engaging Career Day! Please follow this link to sign up: Career Day

Spring/Summer Highly Capable Referral Notice for Annual Highly Capable Testing
Spring/Summer referrals are open to new and current students who have not been tested in the last 9 months. When a student is referred, we need an online form from both parents and teachers for the Multidisciplinary Team to review. Both the educator’s and parent’s confidential input is greatly valued in the identification process.
Please see https://www.psd401.net/learning/highly-capable or contact me for more information on referrals or the training opportunity.
Thank you!

K-12 Highly Capable Program Coordinator

Theme of the Month: Responsible
This month we are focusing on the theme of responsible. Other words that mean responsible - dependable, reliable, and make good decisions. Our definition, taking ownership of your decisions and actions. As a class community, each classroom is trying to earn certificates for common areas around the school - library, recess, dismissal, cleanest classroom, bathrooms, and hallway. You can ask your kiddo if they have earned any certificates yet. Talk with your child about how they are responsible at home.
Next month's theme: Cooperation
