Classroom News!
This week we enjoyed our new grass seed "meadow" in the Exploration table and added little farm animals, ponds, barns and other accessories to create a mini-farm. The lima beans from last week burst open with little roots and shoots. The children each transplanted their growing beans into a cup of soil. We will continue to observe their growth process.
We watched a Reading Rainbow video called "The Milk Makers." We learned the different ways cows get milked. After a short discussion about what things are made of milk, we made real butter! The children took turns shaking jars of cream while dancing to
"Shake It Off." Shouts of "Oh man, this is delicious!" were emanating from the table room as we gobbled up bread topped with very fresh butter.
