SHS Updates and Reminders

Turkey Trot Fun Run

Parents, your students did such a great job at the Turkey Trot Fun Run! Thank you for supporting our school during the two week event. Please have all of your pledge money turned in tomorrow. Simply place all pledge money into the collection envelope your students came home with last week and send that back to school. Also, sponsors can pay online if they entered their email address on funrun.com. Thank you again for your support of our school!

Spirit Week

Spirit Week will be held this week to celebrate our first home basketball game of the season. Help show your Eagle pride by participating in Spirit Week festivities!

  • Movie Character Monday - dress like your favorite movie character

  • Blue/White Tuesday - wear school colors and come to the first home basketball game

  • Wacky Tacky Wednesday - dress wacky and be tacky

  • Throwback Thursday - throwback to decade of your choice

  • Fan Favorite Friday - show off your favorite team

Spirit Wear

Need something to wear for Blue and White Day? To kick off spirit week on Monday the 26th, Mr. Campbell will be selling uniforms from past Silk Hope sports teams to aid the athletic program. Everything from basketball shorts, baseball and softball pants, pom poms, as well as jerseys will all be sold for as low as one dollar. EVERYTHING will be under $5. Bring cash and look for Mr. Campbell in the MPR during your lunch time to own a piece of Silk Hope history and show your school pride!

Studio Tour

The Chatham Arts Guild will be holding it's annual studio tour featuring artwork from Chatham County students, including pieces created by Silk Hope art students. These works of art will be on display from November 30th to January 3rd at the Peppercorn Gallery in Siler City. Please stop by the gallery to view and enjoy the artwork of our talented students.

Events for the week include:

  • The Eagles will host JS Waters Tuesday for our first basketball game of the season and will travel to Bennett Thursday. All games begin at 4:15. Come out and support your Silk Hope Eagles!
