From the Director
It was a gorgeous day at the Cheongna Lake Park for this year's We Run Cheongna fun run. The air was just cool enough to keep kids moving under the autumn sunshine. We were so happy to see our middle school students bring their full enthusiasm and effort to the event. A special thanks to Mr. Parmar and our P.E. department for making this event possible.
After lunch today, the Student Council did an excellent job hosting various activities including a Zombie Game station, a Mafia station, a Duck Duck Goose station, and a "Chill" station complete with face painting, Giant Jenga, Cornhole, and a even a cotton candy machine! We're proud of their growing leadership skills and look forward to more successful Student Council events in the future.
As Term 1 draws to an end, students have been busy in classes completing term projects and documenting their process in digital portfolios. On Thursday our Badminton team hosted Chadwick at CDS for their first friendly game of the season.
We have a very active Saturday planned tomorrow with our Girls Soccer team playing their last jamboree of the season at YISS, our Boys Soccer team playing at APIS, and our Badminton team competing at SFS. In addition to KAIAC athletics, several CDS students and parents will visit the Sky 72 Golf Course for the KEB Hana LPGA Golf Championship.
All students have finished MAP testing and we will send students home with their results next Friday.
For more details regarding next week's Library Night and Book Week events please refer to the information we sent out earlier this week by clicking here. Raffle tickets will continue to sell up until Library Night.
Have a great weekend!

Students Vote on Charity Options for the Library Night Raffle
Students voted today on which of three charities to support using the proceeds of this year's Library Night raffle. Of the three options below, 88% voted for #3 to bring safe drinking water to people in need.
1. Direct Relief: (currently assisting victims of Hurricane Maria, Mexico earthquakes, Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Harvey).
2. Room to Read: Room to Read is a non-profit organization for improving literacy and gender equality in education in the developing world.
3. charity: water brings clean and safe drinking water to people in need around the world, improving health, education, and opportunity - especially for women and children.
