RBCs and WBCs


Red blood cells main job is to carry oxygen throughout the body. RBCs make up 55% of blood in the body. RBCs form in the red bone marrow.


White blood cells main function is to fight infection. There are five types of WBCs. The five types are organized into granulocytes and Agranulocytes. Neutrophils is the most common WBC. It belongs to the granulocytes.
