Spanish with Senora Gaines
Hola mi familia de Bluff Park. Your students amaze me every week! My Kindergarten amigos reviewed ‘los colores’ this week and learned how to say they like something ‘me gusta’ or don’t like something ‘no me gusta’ by reading a story ‘El pato que tiene hambre’ and coloring a worksheet that they took home. My 1st and 2nd grade amigos created a ‘monstruo’ in class by working in groups on the different parts (ojos, orejas, piernas, brazos, boca and cuerpo). We will describe these monsters more in coming weeks. My 3rd, 4th and 5th grade amigos have began learning the parts of the face and we read ‘El perro’ in class together, which is a story that identifies the 5 senses in Spanish. They also identified parts of the body and verbs (huele = smell, toca = touch, levanta = raise, baila = dance, etc).
Gracias for all you do. Don’t forget to follow our Instagram @sonrisasyrisasbpes. I have been posting some of our activities we are doing in class.
