The new school year is upon us!

August 26, 2013

Welcome back!

Welcome back to school! We have been very busy over the summer preparing for the upcoming school year. Our library has been remodeled and it looks great. We look forward to seeing all of you at Open House this Wednesday from 5:00-7:00. You'll be able to come in to meet the teachers, learn about a variety of activities at the, booths outside, grab some dinner, reconnect with friends, and tour the school. Pictures will be taken in the gym from 5:00-7:00 so you can make sure their hair looks perfect and they are wearing the outfit you would like.

See you soon!

New staff at the Intermediate School

We have hired new staff and reassigned other staff to complete the roster of teachers at the Intermediate School. Mrs. Heather Weiland joins the 7th and 8th grade staff as the new Language Arts teacher. Mrs. Angela Gliniecki joins us as our new art teacher for grades 4-8. Mrs. Wendy Monson joins us from the Primary School to teach PE to our 4th-6th graders. (Miss Sarah Luberda is still with us for PE, as well!) Mrs. Linda Kircher, Mr. Jeff Kondrakiewicz, and Mrs. Rachel Meyer join the 4th grade team after moving over from the Primary School. Mrs. Tiffany Strassburg joins us as one of our speech pathologists. We welcome these staff members to the Intermediate School.

Schedule for the upcoming school year

This year, our specials classes will be on a four-day rotation for 4th-8th grades. In 4th-6th grades, each grade level home room will attend specials at the same time. The rotation has art and music once and PE two times. 4th and 6th grade has 5 sections so one class has been split to make 4 sections for specials.

In 7th and 8th grades, the rotation is three PE classes and one health class. Art is no longer a part of the specials rotation for 7th and 8th grade and instead has been made an elective class which meets the same time as band, choir, and study hall.

If you have any questions about this, please see me at Open House!
