Dear NFM@Crawford Families,
This week was a full week with great activities!
First of all, THANKS for checking in during conferences. We really value our communication and connection with our parents. Thank you for sharing your children with us! Our staff was treated to some amazing food during conferences. Special thanks to Johanna Brosie who provided us with delicious meals!
We were visited by the DCSD Bus Barn for Bus Information and Safety. Special thanks to these people who transport our students safely all over the county!
We had our first round of Principals of the Day - Congrats to Dallas, Lila Mae, and Jillian for helping Denise carry out her duties on Thursday.
We had a CMAS assembly on Friday afternoon to celebrate the hard work and effort of our students! Thank you to School Board Member Jennifer McGavin for coming and visiting our school's celebration. Our school earned the title of "School of Distinction", which is recognized as a high rating in our state.
To help celebrate our CMAS efforts, the school will be celebrating a movie day with organic popcorn, and caramel apples. If you wish to provide alternate snacks for your child, please send in their backpacks.
October Count Day is continuing on Monday, October 3rd. What is OCTOBER COUNT Day? The State of Colorado counts students that are present in our school on these days and then allocates money that will become our budget. It is very IMPORTANT that your child is present on these days so that our school can have the best attendance possible! Thank you for your support on this.
Our first Coffee with the Principal will be next Friday, October 7 from 7:45 - 8:30 in the staff lounge. Denise would love to visit with all of you!

From the cafeteria: Please fill out a Free and Reduced Lunch Form if you haven't already. This information is confidential and is not accessible by any NFM@C Staff. This indirectly helps our school fund enrichment programs (like reading instruction with Ms. Jeannie)
Our music teacher Fran Stein will be playing fiddle and guitar at Oktoberfest! - This is a fundraiser for the Creamery Center in Hotchkiss and has lots of fun activities for kids. It will begin at 4:00 on Saturday, October 1st at the Creamery Arts Center. For more information, check out: http://www.creameryartscenter.org/. Please check out the flyer:
