Counselor's Corner
Welcome back! We have completed our first week back from the break and we are ready to pick back up with our BEST expectations. This month we are concentrating on the Life Leader attribute "Self-Managed". Sometimes after being away from routine, it can be easy to forget our expectations. We often need reminders to stay proactive and take care of our responsibilities. Take some time to sit with your student and focus on reviewing expectations for both home and school. The chance for success is increased with support, which is also known as accountability. Let’s commit to supporting our students to finish the year out STRONG and encourage them to manage their intentions and choices well.

From Assistant Principal, Chris Carter
Mr. Carter and all of the Life School Cedar Hill staff are very proud of all the students for following the Campus Expectations every day. Congratulations to 4th grade for winning the Cafeteria Expectations Contest for the month of December! 4th grade will receive a free dress day, pizza party, and a movie for this great accomplishment. This will be Friday, January 18th. January’s Cafeteria Expectation Contest is in full swing and it is going to be a competitive tight race this month. Our motto is “ALWAYS RACING TO EXPECTATIONS”.

Make health your resolution!
- Healthy You: Make healthy food choices, be active, make an appointment for a check - up, vaccination, or screening. Wash your hands often. Get enough sleep. Learn and practice a new health tip each week. Make a new friend.
- Healthy Community: Volunteer at your church, school, or one of the many community center s needing help or an extra hand. If you have received help from others, try to repeat the gesture. Extend a common courtesy wherever you are – they are always appreciated and hopefully duplicated.
