Five tips to conserve water are below.⬇️. Share these tips to others, go!
Take a shorter shower by timing your shower, try to take under 5 minutes.
Try not to play with toys that use water.
Turn of the faucet while brushing your teeth.
Water your plants less.
While using conditioner/shampoo and body wash, turn off the water.
H20 Distribution
It is important to save water because of of all the water in the world, only an estimate of 3 to 4% of it is fresh water. All of our fresh water that we can drink comes from glaciers, lakes, and rivers. Out of all the water in the world, 97% of it has salt in it so only a tiny bit of the water we can drink. We can't drink ocean water because there is too much salt inside of it, and if someone drinks it there is high chance they can't live.
H20 Usage
An average American uses about 80-100 gallons a day. An average European uses 50 gallons per day, and an African uses 2 to 5 gallons a day. A five minute shower uses about 10 gallons of water, and a washing machine cycle uses about 40 gallons. 39% of the water in California is used for residential, 33% industrial and 28% is agriculture.
