Thesis Statement
Early life
Abigail Adams was born on November 22, 1774 in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Her parents were Elizabeth and William Smith. Abigail Adams had two sisters and one brother. Her education was at her house because she was home schooled, and her father taught her to read because she was not able to go to school. Women or girls were not allowed to go to school in that time. Only men or boys were allowed to go to school. Those experiences might have influenced or impacted her to fight for equal rights.
Middle life
Abigail Adams got married to John Adams on October 25, 1764. John was a lawyer and had to be away a lot but, Abigail managed it very well. During the Revolutionary War she wrote many letters to John. Abigail had four children. When her children were older, John became the 2nd president. Abigail and John had to move a lot because the "White House" kept moving . Finally they picked a spot that is now the White House.
Later life
John Quincy later became the 6th president. Abigail admired George Washington and Thomas Jefferson because they were very humble. After John Adams was not a president any more Abigail and John went back to their home in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Then later Abigail got typhoid fever and died on October 28th, 1818.
