ATHLIETIC TRAINER

WHAT IS A ATHLETIC TRAINOR: Athletic Trainers (ATs) are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

Some advantages and disadvantages to being a athletic trainer:

advantages: If you are a sports lover you gets to be around sports almost everyday. You get to meet different people/athletes.

disadvantages: You have to know how to work in stressful situations. you sometimes have to work with uncooperative people.

what kind of schooling is need to be a athletic trainer:

Typically, to become an athletic trainer, you must earn a bachelor's degree, which usually takes four years to complete. Most athletic trainers work with professional athletes or with student athletes in high schools and colleges, though they can work in many other settings.

Yearly salary: Athletic trainers tend to make 42,600 a year and anywhere from 18$ to 22$ an hour.

TEXAS UNIVERSITY

In 1839, the Congress of the Republic of Texas ordered that a site be set aside to meet the state's higher education needs. After a series of delays over the next several decades, the state legislature reinvigorated the project in 1876, calling for the establishment of a "university of the first class." Austin was selected as the site for the new university in 1881, and construction began on the original Main Building in November 1882. Less than one year later, on Sept. 15, 1883, The University of Texas at Austin opened with one building, eight professors, one proctor, and 221 students — and a mission to change the world.
