Virtual Orientation
Students and parents in grades 1-5 will have a virtual orientation. If you have not done so check your Parent Portal for your child's teacher. We will be posting welcome videos from the teachers on the Aylesworth website on August 11th. Additionally, your teacher will also set up small group Google Meets sessions so they have a chance to speak with you personally! Those Google Meets will take place on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Be on the look out for more info from your teachers!
1st - 5th Grade Material Pick Up
We will be having a curbside pickup to make sure you have the necessary materials at home to make Virtual Learning a success! Teachers have prepared packets and workbooks for you to pick up for your child. Curbside pickup will be at door B on the east side of the school. You only need to know your child's grade level to pick up materials.
Pick up times are:
Wednesday: 1 pm - 3 pm
Thursday: 4 pm - 6 pm
Friday: 9 am - 11 am
Kindergarteners and New Students
Kindergarteners received their materials and devices at Kindergarten Orientation. New students in grades 1-5 will be receiving a call from staff to set up a time to pick up devices and materials. If you are a kindergarten parent that did not attend orientation or a parent of a new student who has not set up a time please call the office at (219) 764-6361.
Student Emails
All students have a Portage email that they will use to connect with their teachers. The student email is their first name . last name @student.portage.k12.in.us. Their password is capital first initial, capital last initial and their 6 digit lunch code.
Example:
Jane Doe, lunch code 123456
Jane's email would be: Jane.Doe@student.portage.k12.in.us
Jane's password would be JD123456
