NAESP - Report to Parents: Fostering Social & Emotional Learning at Home
Central Bucks School District has been implementing Second Step which highlights social/emotional learning skills focused upon respect, self-worth, responsibility, understanding and kindness (among others). At Butler, our Town Hall Meetings, morning announcements, and classroom conversations revisit these themes consistently throughout the year. The National Association of Elementary Schools (NAESP) shares how parents and guardians can continue this conversation at home.

Butler Spirit Day - Disney Day 1/29/22
Butler Elementary Welcomes Peaceworks & NOVA to our Intermediate Grades
The Central Bucks School District has a positive support program led by A Woman's Place: Peaceworks & NOVA (Network of Victims Assistance) - both who provide programs to support Anti-Bullying in schools for Grades 4 & 5. Fourth Grade's program led by Peaceworks spoke to making lasting friendships and positive choices - celebrating what makes us unique! Fifth Grade students welcomed NOVA who took a closer look at cyber bullying where students learn about their responsibilities, including potential dangers, of the Internet as it relates to online activity. After learning how to recognize cyber bullying, students discussed its impacts, and the steps needed to stay safe as an “upstander”. Thank you to both organizations for their partnership in CB!
