Principal's Message
Dear Families,
I hope most of you have had the opportunity to connect with teachers in conferences this week (or next for some of our reschedules). Every child has demonstrated growth so far this year and there are many things to celebrate! Be sure to build on your child's strengths and successes. There are also 7 full weeks of school left to reach their goals. EVERY DAY OF SCHOOL MATTERS.
If children are sick, we want them to stay home, but otherwise, consistent attendance is extremely important. Our THIRD, FOURTH, and FIFTH graders will be starting state testing next week and continuing throughout the month of May. Getting plenty of sleep at night, limiting screen time, and having a healthy breakfast each morning makes a positive difference and starts the day off right! We will be working to support a growth mindset in students and minimizing stress. Effort is what students have the most control over and that is what you can help reinforce at home...just do your best and that's all you need to worry about! 🙂.
Thank you all for your support.
With appreciation,
Ms. Rosenquist

8 Days remaining to this year's Jog-A-Thon!!!
Thanks to everyone who has set up their 99Pledges page and started fundraising for this year’s Jog-A-Thon! To date we have received online pledges that reach 16% of the $35,000 school goal. We are off to a great start, but we still have a way to go before we meet our goal.
The clock's ticking - it's time to reach out to friends and family and ask them to support your student and Bethany Elementary education. The PTO relies on Jog-a-Thon donations to provide much-needed financial support for our students' educational enrichment.
"Kindergarten uses the Jog-a-thon funds to purchase materials for students to use in hands-on learning activities and lessons as well as learning extensions like field trips." - Mrs. George, Kindergarten Teacher
Your donation makes a big difference! This year, among its many endeavors, the PTO provided funds for teachers to spend on classroom supplies like books, and made its first step on modernizing the playground with the new spinner!
"The Jog-a-thon provides us with classroom money to keep our libraries up to date with the newest, freshest, coolest books available." - Mr. Cushman. 3rd / 4th Grade Teacher
Feel free to visit the Bethany Elementary Jog-A-Thon webpage for helpful information, fundraising script examples, and a fun event video that you can share!
"The generous classroom funding allows me to purchase up-to-date books each year, and have money left over for supplies such as art and science supplies!" - Ms. Gettling, 3rd grade
To set up your student’s 99Pledges page follow the simple instructions on the Jog-A-Thon webpage at www.bspto.org/jogathon. Share the fundraising link with friends, family, and neighbors via email, text, or social media. Expert tip: Provide your email during setup to receive an invitation email with a special link for you to upload your student’s image. Didn’t get a special link to upload a picture? Email jog.a.thon-lead@bspto.org with the student’s name, teacher, and image for assistance.
The Jog-A-Thon needs you!
There has been a great outpouring of support for volunteering the day of the Jog-A-Thon during the student class times. Positions are still available so be sure to register in the system and sign up for a time. Major areas of need still exist for setup (15 volunteers), cleanup (15 volunteers), and general support throughout the day (5 volunteers). Thank you for your help we couldn’t do this event without you!
Volunteers MUST be registered in the system, so if you’re considering helping, please apply today using this link - this will not obligate you to participate. Registration can take several weeks, so please register today!
Once you are registered to volunteer with Bethany Elementary, you can log into Better Impact and sign up for the Jog-A-Thon opportunities. Just search under Bethany Elementary by the Jog-A-Thon date of May 6th, 2022, and you will see what areas of need are available!
Thank you for supporting your students and Bethany Elementary!
