Start Tracking Summer Reading June 19!

Schuylerville readers can start tracking their summer reading minutes on the ReadSquared App or desktop website starting June 19th. Track your minutes for a chance to win raffle prizes for kids, teens, and adults! Stay tuned for details about our official Summer Reading Program in-person kick-off on July 10th.

Garage Sale Saturday June 3

Stop by the library side yard on Saturday, June 3rd from 11am to 2pm to see our items on sale. You'll find office supplies, computer mice, keyboards, monitors, big appliances, books, and more! All proceeds go to the Advocates the Schuylerville Public Library.

Seed Library

It's planting season! Our Seed Library can be found in the front right corner of the library building near the local history collection. Browse our collection of free herb and vegetable seeds and bring some home! You can also donate new packaged seeds or your own recently harvested seeds.

Read to Rescues!

Meet us at HeartsHerd Animal Sanctuary (approximately a 20-30 minute drive from Schuylerville in Buskirk, NY) with some books and we'll read to all the rescue animals! We will visit with horses, goats, pigs, and more!

Parents or guardians will need to stay with children for the duration of the visit. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Schuylerville Writes

Each month, we invite you to check out our writing prompt and submit your work! You can write in whatever style you prefer: fiction, non-fiction, or poetry. We will feature all submissions in a non-circulating book here at the library, and on our website and social media.

June's prompt: Write about a character that can see what others can't see. It could be ghosts, future or past events, mathematical equations, or something else!

Libby Catalog Expands

Cardholders in the SALS (Southern Adirondack) network now have access to e-books and audiobooks from three more library networks through Libby. Cardholders can add Mohawk Valley Library System, Upper Hudson Library System, and Mid-Hudson Library System to their Libby account. See video below for instructions.
