Happy rainy day! We are staying in and baking and enjoying the rain. This reminds to me to encourage you to watch the weather. There are some morning that the kids still need a jacket for our 9:15-9:30 morning break outside. Thanks!
I added some fun spirit days to support our career week that our counselor has put together the week of April 23.
Thank you for getting your field trip forms in and the money. If you are a chaperone please send in $5.50 on Monday. I would like to get all of my money and forms turned in to the office soon.
Please remember to send in your child's head phones. You will see from the pictures below that we need them for lots of reasons! We put them on during noisy parts of our day with the construction. It helps so much! Of course, we use them for computer work as well. Thank you for taking care of this.
As we are entering the end of the year, please be sure to settle your child's lunch account. Also, send in those library books by the date Mrs. Jones has asked. She has to do inventory and it is important she gets them in.
On an end of the year note, just an fyi, teachers do not place students in their classes for the next year. We fill out forms with academic and social information, if any children need to be separated or would benefit from being together. It is turned in to our administrators and they make the classes. I am sure you will be getting an email from Dr. Hayunga that allows you to write a letter sharing thoughts or needs for your child's placement. Please feel free to do that if you have strong feelings about their placement. You are welcome to let me know if there is anything pertinent that I need to include in my form that I may not be aware of. Thank you for understanding. It is just out of my hands.
Have a great weekend!

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
Language Arts-We finished up our poetry books and the kids did a great job. We are now moving into research for both reading and writing.
Science-We have been learning all about animals camouflage, their adaptations and how they live. Next up will be insects and life cycles.
