What a year it has been for our 8th grade students! As classes come to a close, the teachers have joined together with the PTA for a special 8th grade celebration! This celebration will include a Game Truck, a Team Tournament, outdoor activities, games, free food, a time-capsule banner, and fun with friends! The 8th Grade Celebration will wrap up with a farewell final walk. 8th graders will be escorted through the halls of Fowler one last time as they visit their old classes and say goodbye to their former teachers. It’s been a great year! Thank you for sharing your student with us!
Our Fowler 8th grade Scientists have taken their STAAR assessment and are ready for some fun! The Fowler PTA has graciously funded a teacher grant to purchase grass frog specimens, and 8th graders will be experiencing a frog dissection lab as a culminating activity in middle school science. These students were unable to complete the frog dissection lab as 7th graders due to Covid protocols, and we are excited to be able to provide this experience. Many thanks to the Fowler PTA for funding this biology lab!
Counselors Corner
This has been a great year at Fowler Middle School. The counselors have enjoyed working with all of our students and are proud of the way our Falcons have continued to thrive through the challenges of the past two years.
Please enjoy a safe summer as we send off our outstanding 8th grade class to soar to even greater heights at Lebanon Trail and Liberty High School. As for the rest of you, we are looking forward to more exciting times and great memories as a Fowler Falcon.
We wanted to share a few important “back to school” dates with you, yet please continue to follow updates from our district through email and both the district and Fowler website.
Falcon Flight Camp will be held Monday, August 8, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am (schedule pick-up for 6th grade begins at 8:30 am). This is an exciting time for our incoming 6th graders to learn all about middle school. Our Fowler band, cheerleaders and NJHS members will be participating in Flight Camp events as well. If you are a returning 7th or 8th grader, you will be able access your schedule on the Home Access Center and walk the campus and find your classes on August 8th from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
We look forward to taking off on a whole new journey with all of you in the year ahead!

She will be receiving her award in Austin on May 21st at noon.
Jason Yevin, from Salk/Macarthur PTSA in New York, has submitted the 2022-2023 Reflections theme : Show Your Voice!

Mathematical Olympiads
31 students from Fowler Middle School were among 15,000+ students nationwide to participate in the Math Olympiad program. They participated in a series of five monthly contests of five problems each from November to March. The students responded well and were recognized with certificates for their participation. 21 of those mathletes won national awards for excellence within Division M for grades 6-8. They will receive embroidered felt patches for being in the top 50% of all students in the nation. Along with the patches, 4 other students earned additional awards for their success. Abhinav Bhagavan, Aum Pahuja, and Himani Patadia scored in the top 10% of all students in the nation and have been awarded a silver pin.
Kedar Vernekar was our only student to earn the prestigious Dr. George Lenchner medallion, awarded for a perfect score of 25 points. In addition to that, Kedar has received a trophy for being the top scoring student and a gold pin for being in the top 2% of all students in the nation.
Congrats to all of our hard working students!

Tennis Sweeps the District
As a team the Falcons had the MOST semi-finalists of any team with a total of 11 entries. The next highest was 7, so they dominated everywhere! Within those 11 entries, EIGHT of them medaled, which was also the highest, and of that group we had 3 champions... also, the MOST! We have 5 divisions, and those division are broken down into A draws, B draws, and some C draws.
A Draw CITY CHAMPIONS in Boy's Doubles: Arnav Parekh / Saharsh Parvathaneni, they defeated a very good Lawler team in the final 6-1
A Draw CITY RUNNER-UP in Girl's Singles: Maika Wendt, she played a tough match against a young lady from Griffin and lost 6-1.
A Draw 3RD PLACE in Boy's Singles: Vedant Bhatia
A Draw 3RD PLACE in Boy's Doubles: Arjune Yerramchetty/Atharva Kumar, they beat another Lawler team in tiebreaker 7-5!
B Draw CITY CHAMPION in Girl's Doubles: Diya Pothuguntla, 7-5 over a young lady from Lawler
B Draw CITY CHAMPIONS in Boy's Doubles: Aneesh Chintala / Abish Kambala, along with their team mates swept the draw and played each other in the finals!
B Draw CITY RUNNER-UP in Boy's Doubles: Sathvik Jampana / Justin Kwok
B Draw 3RD PLACE in Girl's Doubles: Manya Ayodiramanujan / Simona Shlayfman
If you see any of these kids, please let them know how awesome they are! They have done a great job representing the school this year, and once again proved they are the best of the best in Frisco ISD!
