A Note from Our Administrators
Hello Cheetah Families,
Great things continue to happen daily here at Chapman's Retreat Elementary, and we're nearing the end of the first 9 weeks. 9w1 ends on October 6. Families in grades 2-5 have access to their student's grades in Skyward as the marking period progresses. Parent/teacher conferences have been scheduled for October 11, and teachers have sent out their sign-up sheets for these ZOOM conferences. We encourage every family to take advantage of this valuable facetime opportunity with your child's teacher.
This edition of the Cheetah Chatter is filled with important information. Please read further to get details about:
- College Exploration Spirit Week - NEXT WEEK (it's a Dress Up Week)!
- The Grey Ghost 10k, 5k, 1k and 1/2k on October 23
- The start of the Harry Potter Book Club

As always, thank you for your continued support.

Grey Ghost 2021 Information
The Grey Ghost gives our PE Dept the race fee for each Chapman's runner! As a bonus, CRES has won the trophy for most participants for the last 5 races!! Let's do it again Cheetahs!!! Thank you for considering running with us!!! Cheetah Coalition has been awesome so far and the Grey Ghost is the best way to end on October 23!! Check out the link below for all the details!
Attention Townhome Walkers
Williamson County Schools – Coordinated School Health Program has teamed up with SOAR Adventure Park to offer one free round of golf for any elementary school student who is wearing an article of clothing or having something else with them that identifies which WCS school they attend. This very special opportunity for a FREE ROUND of mini-golf will be available from September 29th through October 15th.
Please note that students need to have an adult with them to participate. There must be at least one adult per group per hole and the adult does not have to play mini golf and can walk around the course with the student(s) or if they wish, they can pay to play along with their child(ren).
CRES is looking for some fantastic, dedicated adults to join our Special Education staff as Teacher Assistants, and we are also looking for substitute teachers to become a regular part of the Cheetah Family. You do not have to have a teaching degree to work in either of these roles - just a passion for helping kids reach their full potential!
Please reach out to Michelle Hummel (email@example.com) if you are interested in either of these roles. Please see these Important links regarding Substitute Teacher Pay and to learn how to apply: https://docs.wcs.edu/pdf/hr/salaries/Substitute-Salary-Schedule-2021-2022.pdf and https://www.wcs.edu/domain/1227
