Cristo Rey Wolfpack News
10.15.2020 - End of First Nine Weeks
A New Start!
Reporting to Campus: Starting next week, the hybrid model switches to a full four-days-a-week model. Students report to campus Monday through Thursday every week (no virtual synchronous rotation day). Only students approved to remote from home should access classes via zoom links daily. Friday remains an asynchronous virtual day, with House check-in required at 7:50am.
Remote Students: Starting next week, students are expected to zoom into classes ON TIME DAILY for all 8 periods Monday through Thursday. There are no longer virtual synchronous or asynchronous classes Mondays through Thursdays. Friday remains an asynchronous virtual day, with House check-in required at 7:50am.
Entrance Screenings: Students should arrive to campus between 7:15am-7:45am and enter campus through the gate in front of the St. Francis Gathering Area. Make sure to go through screening, which includes a temperature check and a hand stamp to show you've been cleared. Go directly to your House, or if it is your work day, report directly to the Gathering Area.
Dress Code: Make sure you are in proper uniform daily, which includes your button-down school shirt and tie on work days! Shoes should be leather black, brown, or navy dress shoes, and outerwear should be solid black, blue, or gray without a hood. Face masks are required on campus!
Food/Drinks: Students are provided breakfast and lunch daily on campus, but students may bring their own meals as well. However, there is no access to a microwave or refrigerator at this time. Shared water fountains are also not available, so students are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle. Plus, we have a snack break designated after 7th hour, so bring a snack from home if you wish! The Wolf Shack will be available for students who earn Wolf Bucks on Thursdays.
Transportation: Any student expecting to ride a bus or school van to/from school daily will receive stop times and locations directly from our bus partner DS Bus Lines. Your stop time may have changed, even if you have been riding the bus already this year, due to updated stops for the additional students returning to campus.
Contact our Main Office (225) 615-7479 between 7:00am-4:00pm with any questions!
Community Prayer Vigil for Peace RESCHEDULED for October 23rd!
CWSP Reminders
Dress Uniform: Please be reminded that work day uniform consists of the oxford button-down uniform shirt and tie. All other dress code guidelines apply on work days. Masks are required at work places as well.
Work Day Expectations: Students are reminded that timecards are due at the end of each work day, including Remote Student Workers. Punctuality is also critically important on your work day so that you don't miss the work vans!
Remote Workers: Students remaining remote for the 2nd nine weeks must continue to log-in with Ms. Eldringhoff via Zoom at the designated time on your work day and must complete the assigned AES modules for Microsoft Excel Certification. Keep developing those professional skills so that you are ready to return, stronger than ever, to the work place next semester!
Mark Calendars! School will be CLOSED on November 3rd for Election Day.
