the 411 - Things to Know

  1. Please let Michelle know if you'd like to be part of the Coaching Model Review Team (Meeting Jan 29 7:00am-9:00am/February 10th 3:30-5:30pm). We only have 1 coach interested and could use additional voices.
  2. Coaches thanks for your hard work Friday writing a definition of Instructional Excellence and identifying Look For's. Please let Michelle know if you'd like to work virtually to synthesize the responses. We only have 1 coach interested and could use additional voices.
  3. If you're participating in the Teaching Reading in Small Groups course, please complete the entire course, session #4-6 prior to our workshop on January 22nd. Print and bring your certificate and comments. IMPORTANT to do BEFORE Jan 22nd complete: this form if you're requesting the training rate for completing this learning. Register in Keep Certified by searching for Teaching Reading in Small Groups. Sign up for a focus area group for our work together on Friday.
  4. FYI - Interventionist Team Meeting will take place on January 27th from 1:00-4:00pm. Anyone in an interventionist role is asked to attend, please register in Keep Certified.

Coaching for Excellence

Listen to this instructional coach talk about the method they use for video coaching. You'll see similarities to the Identify, Learn, Improve model we discussed at last week's coaches workshop.

Before February 12th give it a try! Use video to coach 2-3 teachers and use with your reflective coaching partner. Don't forget to share your impressions and thoughts inside our discussion found in the Coaching for Excellence course.
