April showers bring May flowers
The month of May will be full of celebrations and the study of botany. We will begin the month with a Cinco de Mayo celebration where the children will learn how to make guacamole and salsa and make their own maracas. We will kick off our botany study by focusing on flowers. We will learn about the parts of the flower, flower growth, and each child will grow their own bean sprout.
As the month comes to a close, we will celebrate transitions. Many of our children are moving up to different classroom here at Little Oaks as well as some who will be saying goodbye and moving onward to kindergarten. We will be practicing songs for our annual Stepping Up celebration. This is a school event where parents and family members are encouraged to participate and celebrate all of the children and their accomplichments. The celebration will take place on Friday, May 27th from 3:00-4:00 PM; we hope to see you all there.
