5th Grade Energy Research
Fifth grade rotated through six various stations to review and conduct research on different forms of energy. The stations consisted of using trade books, vocabulary puzzles and a classification foldable. They also utilized iPads to watch National Geographic videos, create a product on PicCollage and participate in a Nearpod activity.
After completing their research, the students were given a choice grid to complete their final product.
National Hour of Code Week
The entire campus participated in the National Hour of Code. The Hour of Code was created to encourage computer science. It promotes problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. All classes came to the library during the week and each student had an iPad to try out different coding apps.
Makerspace Club
In preparation for National Hour of Code the Makerspace Club created necklaces by using beads to code their name using binary code. Their coding necklaces came out great!
