Kindergarten Update

Last Week's Fun...
*The sight words "down" and "at" were introduced.
*We continued Topic 9 in math. This topic centers on decomposing numbers. We've been looking at different ways to make a sum.
*We practiced writing book reviews together. We've written reviews about characters, story events, and illustrations.
*We celebrated the 100th day of Kindergarten with different activities led by wonderful parent volunteers!
We wrote 100 words!
We made posters with 100 stickers.
We made necklaces with 100 beads.
This Week's Fun...
*We'll continue Topic 9 in math. This week we'll look at different ways to make the numbers 8, 9, and 10.
*The students will begin writing their own book reviews.
*We'll continue to learn about weather in science.
*We'll learn about groundhogs and the legend of Groundhog Day.

*Friday, Feb. 12: No school
*Monday, Feb. 15: No school in observance of President's Day
