Thursday - First Grade Poetry Showcase for Parents at 10:30 in gym ; Doors will open at 10:15 am. Parents may park at the back or the rec.

STEM Night for Grades 3-5 only from 5-7. Students may arrive late if you can't get here right at 5. The students will rotate in small groups. 1 parents must stay with students because our staff will not be working. GHS students and a few EV teachers will be here to assist with the event.
Friday - NO SCHOOL


Grade 3 -5 TN READY TESTING DATES
EastView will be testing at during these two weeks. We test a few hours a few days each week. The testing schedule is not finalized but we know we want to secure these dates.
Attendance is necessary during these testing dates. Please do not schedule any appointments for these dates between 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. If a student is absent, they will have to make up the test he/she misses.
More details will be sent home in April.

Teacher Appreciation Days--May 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 10th. More to come with regards to these days in the near future.
End Of The Year Party-May 17th. Please make sure to have sunscreen applied before you send your student to school. Also, have your student dressed in clothes for play and fun.

2023-2024 REGISTRATION INFORMATION
2023 - 2024 Kindergarten Registration
Registration will begin on April 3, 2023, at 8:00am for Kindergarten Tuition (living outside city limits) applications.
Registration will continue on April 4th for all Kindergarten students living outside or inside city limits.
2023 - 2024 NEW Student Registration
Registration will open on Monday, April 3rd at 8:00am for NEW students in grades 1-12. This includes new students who live both inside and outside city limits and are NEW to GCS.
- Registration application documents will be available on the school system’s website, www.gcschools.net. They will be time stamped to have an accurate record of the order of applications. Registration will be computer, tablet, and mobile friendly.
- Applicants for kindergarten are required to have Brigance Screening administered by Greeneville City Schools during the summer. Parents will sign up for the screening during the registration process.
- Requirements: Students must be five years old on or before August 15 to enter kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year. State law requires that children successfully complete a state-approved kindergarten program before entering first grade.
- All children entering the Greeneville City School system for the first time must be registered so that personnel and materials are available at the beginning of the school year.
2023 - 2024 Returning Student Registration
Registration for GCS students who plan to return to GCS next school year will be held at a later date. We will announce the date as soon as that information is available.
