President’s Message for December
Dear Members,
We hope you will join us for our Holiday Mixer on December 17 at Grey Rock Mansion. The mansion will be beautifully decorated for the holidays. We are asking POM members to donate winter wear (hat/gloves/scarf) for local school children in exchange for a free drink (wine/beer). Catering is provided by Simply Elegant, and tickets will include heavy appetizers. We will also be serving our chamber signature drink, POMtinis! Register for the Holiday Mixer HERE.

News from Councilman Julian Jones, Jr.'s Desk:
New Water Line on Reisterstown Road - Baltimore County is installing a new 36-inch diameter water line on Reisterstown Road between Rosewood Avenue and Pleasant Hill Road. Work on the new supply main, designed to serve the Owings Mills-Reisterstown area, has already begun. It is now two percent complete and is scheduled to be finished by the spring of 2021. The cost is about $9,000,000.
Roundabout at Nicodemus and Berrymans Lane - Baltimore County is planning to install a roundabout at the intersection of Nicodemus Road and Berrymans Lane in Reisterstown. Construction will start during the last week of October and be finished in two weeks. The improvement will cost about $150,000 and will address safely concerns.
Old Court Road Bridge Rehabilitation - Baltimore County will rehabilitate the Old Court Road Bridge (B-0237) over Bens Run beginning this fall. The project, which will take about a year to complete and cost $2 million, will include replacing beams and sidewalks. During construction traffic will be maintained. For more information, contact the Bureau of Engineering, Department of Public Works at engineering@baltimorecountymd.gov.
News from Councilman Izzy Patoka's Desk:
The Reisterstown Shopping Center will have four new tenants on the site of the old Burger King. A representative from Greenberg Gibbons, which owns the shopping center, shared at this morning’s Reisterstown Improvement Association Business Roundtable meeting that Starbucks, Mattress Warehouse, Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Chipotle Mexican Grill have signed leases to fill vacancies.
Reisterstown Shopping Center has been a staple of the Reisterstown Road corridor for many years. Built in the 1960s, it is located directly across from Franklin High School.
