Hi HTCS families!

Teacher Appreciation Week begins May 2nd – 6th! Please see the attached flyer for the daily ways we are asking our HTCS families and students to show your appreciation and gratitude for our teachers and staff’s commitment and dedication to HTCS! You will see there is a different appreciation “ask” for each day. Please note, for the request to bring in your teacher’s favorite drink / snack, please get with your room parent for your student’s class – they will have this information

In addition to the above, PTO will be providing the following for our teachers next week. The only ask of our parents for the below activities is in regards to the luncheon on Thursday; we are in need of 6 volunteers for the duty free lunch so that the teachers will be able to participate in the luncheon! Please let me know if you are able to help!

  • Monday: We DONUT know what we would do without you! Donuts and coffee day!
  • Tuesday: Our teachers are SWEET! Candy Bar!
  • Wednesday: Dinner Take-out!
  • Thursday: Cinco de Mayo Teacher/Staff luncheon!
  • Friday: Gift surprise!

Please let me know if you have any questions. We can’t wait to celebrate our teachers and staff next week with you!

Thank you,

Margaret

May Brings

Mary’s Month and Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day calls to mind the gratitude and love that we have for our mothers. Motherhood forms a powerful and unbreakable bond between mother and child, and throughout our lives we remember the countless sacrifices our mothers have made for us so our lives can flourish. Scripture often uses the image of a mother’s love as a way to illustrate the depth of God’s nurturing love for each of us. This image has been made all the more powerful by the miracle of the Incarnation, in which God who created the heavens and the earth submitted Himself to being conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, truly becoming her Son. As a child, Our Lord Jesus Christ submitted Himself in obedience to His father and mother, giving us a perfect example to follow. From the Cross, He placed the whole world under the motherly care and protection of Mary. This Mother’s Day let us remember the wonderful and miraculous gift of motherhood as we experience it both in our own families and in the universal Church. Let us imitate Christ and show our mother how much we love her!

Holy Trinity Catholic Elementary School Song

Chorus

Holy Trinity, Father, Spirit, Son

We come together here as one

To pray, to learn, and to grow

In the loving kindness that you know.

Come with us to work and play together

We are all a part of one big family,

In a school filled with joy, spirit, peace

Our love will grow as you can see.

Repeat Chorus

Sharing God’s love as a community

Each day we work to build a unity

Caring and loving others as we go

Just as Jesus taught us years ago.

Repeat Chorus
