Homecoming Week got off to a great start this week with the Jr/Sr Boys Volleyball game, the Jr/Sr Girls Powderpuff, and Coronation. The High School grades compete for points on window and hall decorations, coronation videos, and float building. Homecoming is a special time of year where students, staff, and the community can share their Wildcat spirit. Please join us Friday for the parade, volleyball and football games. Go Wildcats!
Homecoming Dance
Students are invited to the Homecoming Dance on Friday October 4th.
Out of town guests must turn in a form to the office by Friday noon in order to attend. Parents should pick up their students behind the school by 11:30 pm. Students must have parental consent to leave the dance early.

October 14, 2019
High School Conferences will be Monday, October 14 from 4-8 pm in Gym 2. Parents of students in 9-12 will be able to pick of their student’s course schedule and visit with teachers in an open arena format.
A Chili Supper fundraiser will be held October 14th from 4-8 pm in Gym 1. Pre-sale tickets are $7 adult and $4 for children. Tickets at the door are $8 adult and $5 for children. Children 5 and under are free. Come out and support the Goodhue Spanish Club and members who will travel to Costa Rica in the summer of 2021!

There will be a 9th Grade Washington D.C. parent/student meeting on October 14th at 7:00 pm in the High School Band room. The trip itinerary and hotel information will be shared along with a Q and A session. Following the meeting, there will be a brief meeting with chaperones. All 9th grade students and parents who signed up for the trip should attend.

Pop It and Drop It!
Collect your beverage tabs and help support the Ronald McDonald house! Please help families in need by bringing in your pop tabs, a little goes a long way! Drop off locations are in elementary classrooms. Collecting donations from October 2nd to November 1st. Thank You!

Middle School conferences will take place Monday, October 14 from 4-8 p.m. The Middle School CORE Teachers will mostly be up in their classrooms. Here is the list of teachers that will be in their classrooms:

Halloween Events
- Pumpkin contest: Start bringing them into the Media Center on October 27 (Monday). Prizes will be handed out on October 30. All pumpkins should be brought home by October 31.
- Classroom parties
- High School Student Council will offer their party during school in the afternoon. Teachers will bring them down to this event, just before the Elementary Parade of Costumes.
- Grades K-3: Parade of Halloween Costumes at 2:45 p.m. Parents or grandparents of these ages are encouraged to come watch from 2:45-3:05 p.m.
Summer Reading Program
We have had a WONDERFUL turn out for this Summer's Reading Program! CONGRATULATIONS to the 124 Wildcat summer readers- especially the 35 readers who have completed Level 5, and earned their GRAND PRIZE. Our number of summer readers seem to increase each year! Thank you to those readers, you make us Wildcat PROUD!
