IMPORTANT INFORMATION & REMINDERS

NO PARENT PICKUP OR DROP-OFF IN FRONT OF NICOLLET
Please remember that our parent drop-off location is on the east side of Nicollet near the tennis courts (the same location as parent pick-up). Please circle around the lot rather than pulling into parking spaces to avoid having your child cross through traffic to enter the school.
If you are dropping your child off at school after 7:45 AM, please drop them off at the front of the school, door 1, because they will need to check into the office for a tardy pass to class.
Please do not enter the driveway between Sky Oaks and Nicollet. This is where buses are entering and exiting and dropping students off here is a safety concern.
REMINDER THERE IS NO PARENT PICKUP IN FRONT OF NICOLLET FROM 2:30 - 3:05. This is a bus loading zone. If you pick up your student between after 2:30 you will be asked to go to the area shown in the map below.

HEALTH REMINDER
Please remember, if your student is experiencing any of the following symptoms, they MUST stay home from school.
Fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher
New cough or a cough that gets worse
Difficulty/hard time breathing
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Nasal congestion/stuffy or runny nose
Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
Muscle pain
Extreme fatigue/feeling very tired
Severe/very bad headache
Chills
It’s essential that we all work together and stay vigilant so we can keep doing the things we want to do, including in-person learning, activities and athletics.

BHS SPRING SPORTS INFORMATION

BHS Spring Season Trap Shooting
BHS Spring Season Trap Shooting: Spring Season Registration is now open! Registration is now open through Friday, March 11th. REGISTER TODAY!
We will be practicing on SUNDAYS (1PM-4PM) and MONDAYS (4PM-6PM) this season. Please note that start times for Trap Shooters may vary. SPRING Sports Registration: The 2021-22 BHS SPRING Sports online rSchoolToday registration will OPEN on 02/07/2022; . https://isd191-ar.rschooltoday.com/ Please use your same email, username, and password if you are a Returning User from the 2021-22 school year OR this past 2021 Spring athletic season. Below are the start/tryout dates for the spring sports offered.
You will need to have a VALID - current sports physical on file with the BHS Athletics Office in order to participate. This is a requirement of the MSHSL and BHS. Students CANNOT participate without it! The rSchoolToday registration will automatically show the date of the athlete’s last sports physical on file with BHS. BURNSVILLE SCHOOL SPIRIT STORE
IT'S PLAYOFF SEASON!
BURNSVILLE SPIRIT STORE:
The store in BHS will be open on Wednesday this week during conferences form 3:30-7:30 only. This is a great time to order your letter jackets and pick up some spirit wear for the spring!
The store will be closed Thursday and Friday due to the BHS Girls Hockey State Tournament games. You can always place an order through the online site and pick it up in the BHS office.

BYC CURRENTLY HAS A WAITING LIST
Burnsville Youth Collaborative for Grade 6-8: Our BYC afterschool program combines academic support and enrichment along with recreational activities. The program runs Monday - Thursday from 3:00 - 6:00PM each day. We currently have a waiting list but spots may open up so register now!

Family Food Resources
191 Community Pantry
Our family, grocery bag style food distribution available to all community members on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at Diamondhead Education Center. Each grocery bag has 10-15 nonperishable items designed for a family of 4 including a box of assorted fresh fruits and vegetables when available. The Pantry is open to the public.

191 Fresh Produce Distribution
Available July - October provides a box of assorted fresh fruits and vegetables distributed the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at Diamondhead and is available to all community members.
