Symbaloo

What is it?
Symbaloo is a visual bookmarking tool that makes it simple and fun to organize the best of the web. You have all your favorite websites at your fingertips. With an account you can access your bookmarks from everywhere with any device and share your online resources with others.

How can I use it in my classroom and/or with students?
Create a symbaloo to share with your students. You can have your students only use the websites that you have placed on your symbaloo page.

Haiku Deck

What is it?
Haiku Deck is a free app that makes presentations simple, beautiful, and fun. Haiku Deck is free! It includes access to over 35 million free images and six free themes; additional themes as well as premium images from Getty Images are available for purchase on the iPad

How can I use it in my classroom and/or with students?
This is a great alternative for PowerPoint, especially if you want your students to create something simple, but is visually pleasant to look at.

Nearpod

What is it?
Nearpod allows teachers to construct presentations using the Nearpod website and deliver instruction to students by pushing content out to multiple devices at once. The teacher controls the presentation from a master iOS device, while students follow along on a class set of iPods or iPads.

How can I use it in my classroom and/or with students?

  • Allow students to view your class presentations without venturing off to some other apps or website.
  • Teacher has full control of the device and presentation

What is it?
