Goal Setting
Action News Team
Our newest student leader action team is underway. Introducing the Action News Team. Currently, they are working with an Iowa BIG student on a project called "Dance Away the Stigma" an event to benefit Camp Courageous.
Iowa Assessments & LEAD Time
Preschool, AK, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade LEAD Time Focus:
Our younger learners are defining what it means to have a job/career and learning about different career opportunities. They are discussing different attributes and how they relate to different career paths. Students will have the opportunity to choose a career that they think would be a good fit for them.
3rd, 4th & 5th Grade LEAD Time Focus:
Iowa Assessments are standardized assessments in Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies. Participating in Iowa Assessments is outside of our circle on influence, however, the way we respond is our choice. At KLA, all 3rd-5th grade students utilized LEAD time to talk about test taking strategies, set individual goals and create specific action steps. Ask your child what their action steps are to remain proactive and be successful with Iowa Assessments. Check out the video above for some fun test taking tips!
