Twinkle of Hope Event Postponed

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

It is with regret that Life and Family Services has chosen to cancel our Twinkle of Hope event, originally scheduled for August 24th. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event is being postponed to a later date.

If you agreed to be a donor or sponsor of the event, someone from our office will be in touch soon.

Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support.

Apple Dumplings are in full swing!!

We have the dough mixed, rolled and cut into squares. Our next big help needed is at assembly and at the festival.

Assembly is at Crosspointe Church on September 22, noon until finished. And yes, we will be assembling 8,000 apple dumplings.

Apple Fest is October 5 & 6. We need volunteers to help bake, package and sell the dumplings at the festival. This usually takes approximately 30 people per hour for an average.

Call, text, or email Deanna for more details. 260-347-5720 or 260-349-8158, drodenbeck@lfsfamilies.org

Big picture

We have needs for the BABE Store!

Currently, we are ready to switch the clothing to fall and winter. We have enough to make the switch but we do not have items to replace what is sold. So what I’m saying is we need fall and winter clothing in all sizes!! Newborn – size 4 for boys and girls!!!

Currently, we have sold (through our voucher program) approximately 980 clothing items with most of them being outfits during 2019. This is made possible through the many donations of very gently used and new items.

Ronald McDonald Care Mobile

On Wednesday, September 25th at the LFS office, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile from Parkview will be parked at our office in Kendallville from 9-4. We will be offering a workshop at 10:30 for people and clients to find out more about this service on wheels. We are also hosting an open house all day for everyone in the community. Please come and join us!!! Hor d'oeuvres will be provided.
