The Weekly Connection

Updates from the Principal's Office - January 8th, 2023

Message from Mrs. Jones

Hello, Fallbrook Families,

Second semester is in full swing! As detailed last week, there is a lot on the calendar during this second half of the year. Be sure to check here each week, take a look at the student news (linked below), and follow school and district social media accounts to keep up with what's going on at FHS.

If you have a current 9th-11th grade student, please take a moment to review the information included below under the "Counseling Corner," and be sure to check in with your student regarding their four year plan. If they've already submitted it, they're all set for when we begin the process of course selection in February. If they have not had a chance to complete a four-year plan, or have questions about programs and courses, this is a great time to reach out to the counseling office to set up an individual appointment.

It looks like we are also continuing to expect some much needed rain this month, so please keep an eye on the weather and remind students to be prepared! During rainy days, many teachers open classrooms for students during nutrition and lunch; the cafeteria is always an option for students wishing to eat indoors during lunch periods, and the gym is typically also open to students on rainy days to provide an additional indoor option. With the extra gear, we also see an increase in lost and found items, though. If your student has lost track of a jacket or umbrella during this first week back, please have them check the Principal's Office where our lost and found is housed.

As always, if there is anything you need, please feel free to reach out by telephone at (760) 723-6300 x3110, x3102, or x3103 or by email through our website.

Let's make this a great week, Warriors!

Counseling Office Corner

Do you have questions about four year planning, or how the trimester system works? Wondering what it looks like to be part of one of the many programs we offer? Stop by the counseling office to make an appointment with your counselor!

In November, counselors visited classrooms to share about the transition to trimester and help students begin the process of four-year planning with trimester in mind. If you and your student have not reviewed and returned the four-year planning document, please take a moment to review and return it to your counselor. If you're unsure what the four-year planning document looked like, see below.

Need another printed copy of the "My 4 Year Plan" Document? Stop by the counseling office!
